On the Death of George Tiller

Wisconsin Right to Life joined scores of right-to-life organizations in condemning the cowardly shooting of George Tiller in his church yesterday.

It has been many years since a misguided advocate has used violence to address the tragedy of abortion. As an organization and movement, our mission is to value each human life. Killing has no place in our activities. The overwhelming condemnation of yesterday’s shooting demonstrates our commitment to using only peaceful means to defend human life.

  1. I can NOT condone any violent approach to pro-life advocacy. Two wrongs do not make a right. Murder is wrong (for both sides). Vigilanteism will only serve to damage the pro-life cause. And am disturbed to hear reports of some pro-life advocates who are condoning this. People honoring or condoning Mr. Tillers killer are a very small minority (I hope). While I honestly find it difficult to feel sympathetic for Mr. Tiller. I do however have sympathy for his family in their time of loss.
