Hanging on to the “No Abortion Funding” Rhetoric
There are not or will not be federal taxpayer funds for abortion in any of the health care reform measures being considered in Congress. Variations on the theme have been uttered by President Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Senator Russ Feingold, Congressman David Obey, and many others.
The latest round in the rhetoric debacle came with Obama and Sebelius stating in the address before Congress and on ABC News, respectively, that there would be no federal funding of abortion in health care reform, leading to widespread speculation that the Baucus bill would contain something new. It was a major disappointment for some that the Baucus bill is more of the same — abortion funding and mandates.
One has to ask why anyone believes this spin? Perhaps it is a sincere desire to want their elected officials to be honest and straight with them. Whatever the reason, it is time for the endless spin to be taken for what it is — a calculated manipulation to achieve what the goal has been all along — the mainstreaming of abortion making everyone complicit by forcing us to pay for it.
Let me know what you think.

Abortionists have lied consistently and relentlessly and one might even say compulsively for more than 40 years.
Abortionist politicians cannot be trusted on any level at any time for any reason. Need I say more?
