My Catholic Brothers and Sisters: Those who oppose the current healthcare reform legislation for one primary reason, the abortion issue, need to stop being myopic. While you oppose the legislation because of the abortion language, you neglect to understand that my daughter's life hangs in the balance. Her pre-existing conditions will prohibit her from securing healthcare. I hold each pro-life supporter, such an oxymoron, responsible for her health and possible death. At $7000/month, she cannot afford necessary medications and injections.

I am pro-life...I want my daughter to live.

The speaker cannot permit a vote on an amendment barring abortion coverage in the bill, without also changing the language already in the bill, which, as you show, explicitly covers elective abortion.Otherwise the bill's language would explicitly include abortion coverage and the amendment would explicitly exclude it!

The whole bill has to be scrapped and Congress must start over, because abortion coverage is not the only objectionable feature of it. In fact the whole undertaking is nothing more than an attempt to impose a totalitarian system on our country. It is simply not acceptable in a free society.

I'm opposed to H.R. 3962 as an American. Nobody should ever be forced to pay for abortion. Obama told Congress and Americans that the health care reform plan would not cover abortions. H.R. 3962 needs to be killed, immediately!
