Pro-Abortion Obamacare to House Floor Saturday!

Pushing the envelope amidst chaotic positioning of House members, the Democratic House leadership plans to take H.R. 3962, Obamacare, to the House floor on Saturday.

This is still a pro-abortion bill, despite language proposed by Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D-In) which excludes the pro-life amendment desired by Rep. Brad Stupak (R-Mi).    The Ellsworth language is so transparently cosmetic it is laughable.   We have argued that under the government-run public option contained in H.R. 3962, abortionists would submit bills to the federal government, and funds from the federal Treasury would pay the bill.   The Ellsworth fix directs the Secretary of HHS to hire a contractor to deliver the payments for elective abortions to abortionists.

So, if the government “hires” a contractor, don’t federal funds pay for the contractor to deliver government checks to abortionists?  Who dreams this stuff up?
