Planned Parenthood Increases Number of Abortions Performed — Again

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) recently posted 2009 “service” numbers on its website.  The document, which had a February 2011 date, shows that PPFA and its affiliates performed 332,278 surgical and RU 486 chemical abortions in 2009.  PPFA increases its abortions every year with 289,750 performed in 2006.

In contrast, PPFA shows declines in the number of women who receive prenatal services and adoption referrals.   In 2009, only 7.021 women received prenatal care and 977 adoption services.   These numbers are a 25% and 59% drop, respectively, from 2008.

PPFA recently stated it will require all of its affiliates to provide abortions by 2013.  By providing minimal non-abortion services, PPFA manages to fool at least some of the public into thinking it is an even-handed, compassionate organization.   No more.   Many are beginning to recognize PPFA for the abortion giant it is.

1. When did the executive branch of the government (President Barack Obama)begin to dictate which laws would be observed and which ones would be rescinded?

   What happened to the checks and balances of the legislative, judicial and executive branches? How can a President of the United States simply state, “We’re not observing” the conscience clause? (Or, for that matter…support the decision of the marriage act=one man and one woman?)

   Despite the under reporting of the mass media, we must write to our legislatures on all of these matters regularly. If we are silent, we will lose the blessings of a real democracy.

2. Although Planned Parenthood claims to provide needed health care for financially strapped women, their true agenda is abortion. Minority ethnic groups are their target. Simply look where they place themselves. Their “health care” does not include professional care for the whole person (blood pressure issues, persons with diabetes, oncology issues, etc.).

   Recent “sting” videos from Live Action clearly support the non-professional, non-respectful, and illegal ways in which staff of Planned Parenthood function. (Abby Johnson speaks the truth of her inside awareness of how Planned Parenthood conducts itself).

   No tax monies should ever support Planned Parenthood for any reason whatsoever.
