Bravo Cardinal Dolan; Obama, Biden Predictable on Abortion

Bravo Cardinal Dolan!! At first rebuked, Dolan was eventually invited to close the Democratic National Convention in prayer. Convention planners must have been wincing as Dolan boldly proclaimed the issues of life and religious liberty. Here are some excerpts:

“Thus do we praise you for the gift of life. Grant us the courage to defend it, life, without which no other rights are secure. We ask your benediction on those waiting to be born, that they may be welcomed and protected.”

“Renew in all our people a profound respect for religious liberty: the first, most cherished freedom bequeathed upon us at our Founding.”

President Obama and Vice President Biden obediently followed the talking points on “reproductive rights.” Obama said that “…change will not happen….the people….who are trying to buy this election and those who are making it harder for you to vote… who want to control health care choices that women should make for themselves.” Biden chimed in with the vision of “…a future where women control their own choices, health, and destiny.”

Rounding out the litany for “health” were Cecile Richards, President of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and college student Sandra Fluke. All in all, a tragic and appalling commentary from a party whose leadership is dedicated to denying the most basic right of all — the right-to-life.
