Cause of Death Released Which Claimed Lives of Mother and Baby from Late-Term Abortion

It is so tragic and hard to believe. A beautiful 29-year-old teacher died on February 7 from complications following a 33-week abortion. Jennifer McKenna Morbelli traveled from her home in New Rochelle, New York to the Maryland clinic of notorious late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart. The baby, named Madison Leigh, also died from the abortion.

An investigation has been opened by the Maryland Attorney General regarding the death of Morbelli and alleged illegal dumping by the Germantown Reproductive Health Center. The Medical Examiner’s office issued its report listing two causes for the death of Morbelli: amniotic fluid which seeped into her bloodstream and coagulation which caused “small blood clots in the blood vessels.” This resulted in “…extensive bleeding through the body.” Or, as more plainly stated by the White Plains Daily Voice headline: “White Plains Teacher Bled to Death After Abortion.”

Carhart plied his deadly tread in Nebraska for many years but moved his grisly late-term abortion practice to Maryland after Nebraska passed a law in 2010 prohibiting abortions after 20 weeks based on the ability of the baby to experience pain from abortion. Apparently Carhart still lives in Nebraska but flies into Maryland to perform the late-term abortions he has no trouble publicly acknowledging.

Let’s hope that the investigation into these deaths will shut down Carhart’s clinic.
