Opting Out of Obamacare's Mandated
Taxpayer-Funded Abortion Subsidies

Senator Rich Zipperer (R-Pewaukee) and Rep. Robin Vos (R-Racine) announced months ago that they will sponsor legislation to remove Wisconsin from the abortion funding mandate in the state-based insurance exchanges created by Obamacare.

There are numerous abortion-funding provisions in Obamacare that states are unable to undo. But states may opt-out of abortion coverage in the state-based insurance "exchanges." Until Obamacare is struck down in the courts or repealed by Congress, it is important that Wisconsin take the steps it can now to prevent taxpayer dollars from being used to pay for abortion coverage in the state-based insurance exchanges. The Zipperer-Vos legislation will accomplish that goal.

Governor-Elect Scott Walker stands with us in his strong opposition to the use of your tax dollars to pay for abortion coverage. It is important that our new Governor know that you stand with him.
